breakout sessions #2
THE FIVE STEP OIKOS CHALLENGE

How can any believer leverage the most powerful discipleship principle in Christ’s church? And how can a church leader mobilize a group of believers to do the same?
GROWING IN GRACE
Choosing Continuous Forgiveness.
with Jennifer Loop
How do we even begin the process of forgiving when we are still hurt, angry or deeply wounded? The journey of forgiveness is far from a "one and done" event. Rather, it is an ongoing "letting go" process. In this session, you will gain an understanding of how you can choose to be forgiving when you have been wronged or wounded, as well as how to seek forgiveness when you are the offender who has caused harm.

Understanding the Neighbors We're Supposed to Love

PARENTING IN THE DIGITAL AGE
A Survival Guide for Technology Immigrants
with Raimund & Amy Schulze
With increased technology use comes new opportunities for exposure to unsuitable information, explicit sexual content, and violence. Today’s kids are vulnerable to breaches of privacy, cyber bullying, and inappropriate relationships formed online. Parents tell us they are often overwhelmed by their children’s unlimited access online and feel that they have no control.
Our goal is to help parents understand that they CAN take back technology in their home. We help parents understand how their children utilize technology and provide education on the potential dangers. We have found that parent awareness, communication, and involvement are the best and most effective ways to implement technology rules and strategies to protect their children
How do you share Christ with a world that seems to consider 'religious' conversations irrelevant and archaic? How can we articulate our faith in ways that build bridges, instead of create obstacles? By viewing the Gospel and the world around you with the eyes of Jesus, we can engage in conversations that provide clarity and curiosity in people's hearts and minds.
